Bond pain and headache, could this be vitamin d deficiency?

I posted on the undiagnosed forum. I've felt ill for the last 6 months. I've had CBC and SPEC blood tests done and results were normal. I've had 2 head CTs both were "perfectly normal." My symptoms are feeling flushed or hot flashes (I'm only 25), bone aches and pains, headache, fatigue, I've experienced muscle cramps as well. Also have had tingling in feet and "shock" pains. Could vitamin d deficiency cause these problems? I have an appointment coming up and I will ask to be tested. I have been tested for many things and all have come back negative.

Vitamin D deficiency is very common. I had it. It's good to get your D tested twice a year

If you were taking anything with B12 in it within 4 months prior to being tested, your results will be higher then they actually are.

Levels should be above 500, closer to 1,000
You can have symptoms at a cellular level even at higher levels.

2500 a week isn't much. B12 is water soluble.

Only about 10% will be absorbed in your body and that's if you don't have gut issues that can prevent absorption.

I took daily higher amounts of B12 lozenges (that dissolve under my tongue) for a few months, then dropped it to 5,000mcg. Methyl Folate (B9 folic acid) will help the B12 be utilized in your body.

Thanks for the information. My doctor did not want to run anymore bloodwork and was not willing to have these things tested for me. Would it be ok if I took vitamin d without knowing my level? I know that some people take it to prevent autoimmune diseases (my mil does). How much b12 would you recommend that I take? The 2500 mg was prescribed by my neurologist.

Yes it could be Vitamin D deficiency. Have you gotten blood work?

Low magnesium, Vitamin B12 & ferritin can also cause your symptoms

Thanks for the response. I have had bloodwork but have not had those things tested. They did a complete blood count and protein electrophoresis scan (both normal). I will ask to have vitamin d and magnesium tested. I did have b12 tested and it was within their "normal" range at 403, but it's on the low side. I'm now taking 2500 mg once per week. Haven't noticed much difference although I think it has helped with my tingly feet.
