Vitamin D Deficiency. Any Tips?

I was diagnosed with Vitamin D Deficiency, and Hypothyroidism in late June. My doctor prescribed 50,000 IU of D2 to take once a week, and a pill for my thyroid. Sometime mid July I started to take 10,000 IU of D3, 500mg of vitamin c, vitamin b6 (forgot the dose), 400mg of magnesium as magnesium oxide, and an omega 3 pill. I take all these daily. I have noticed a very slight change, but I still feel terrible. I am foggy all the time, I get lightheaded, tired, I have higher blood pressure, sometimes my joints ache, my memory has gotten sort of bad, and in general I just feel like I am out of touch with reality. This is the worst feeling in the world, and I really was hoping someone could shine some light my way, and maybe give me some advice to when I should start seeing symptom relief. I'm not entirely certain what my original levels were, but the other day my doctor told me my levels came back good at 70. She told me she still wants me to keep taking the d2. I am just ready to start feeling better. Before all this, I was a happy guy. I had plans for the summer. Gym membership, getting some stuff done, I even got a new truck. Moved into a new home. I was so happy. A bit stressed but very happy. Now for the past like 3-4 months I have felt just terrible. Like I am nobody. Sort of like a dream. I can still laugh at funny things on TV, but in general I am no longer happy. I was hoping after my levels went up I would start to feel better but I still feel terrible. I will admit that I feel a tiny bit better since all this started but just no where near my old self. So please, anyone?

I would suggest you ditch Vitamin D2 and switch over to D3 of equal potency.
It has been noted that D2 will be converted into D3, but it won't have the same effects on the body.

In addition to that, it is important to take Vitamin K2 along with D3 (seeing how K2 is the most important cofactor).
Vitamin K2 as MK-7, 100mcg per each dose of D3.

Magnesium would be good too (but this could be obtained from various nuts and seeds).
Do some research into different forms of Magnesium which are best absorbed by the body so you don't end up wasting your money.

Hello. I think maybe your symptoms aren't totally related with what you where diagnosed with. It can be related, but could have also triggered anxiety and depression on you, which can be very debilitating. I would look for a second opinion (but keep taking your vitamins and medication until then). As a side note, my sister once had very similar symptoms as yourself, and I have suffered from depression and anxiety for a long time now, but have it somewhat controlled (or maybe have gotten used to it and since I know how it works and the symptoms, don't fear it that much). You probably had or have those ailments but to me it looks more like symptoms of anxiety/depression, that can be triggered by many things that sometimes are hard to assesss and finding the root cause is sometimes key to getting better. My sister was told or "diagnosed" with hypothyrodism as well and she thought that her feeling so bad was only because of that. But, as an anxiety sufferer I always told her that I was almost sure it was anxiety more than anything else, and turns out it was. By the way, thyroid medication made her feel like sh!t. After some months of suffering she looked for a second opinion, and found out she didn't have, or at least not a serious thyroid condition. She stopped the thyroid meds and went to see a Psychiatrist instead. A couple of months later she was herself again and now she is very good. So I am not saying do not take the pills you where prescribed, maybe you do have a serious thyroid problem. But I wouls as I say look for a second or even third opinion. Sometimes doctors disregard anxiety and depression as a source for symptoms. So just because someone is a doctor, it doesn't always mean that they are right or in some cases even know what they're talking about.
So in conclusion: Keep taking your medication (vitamins won't hurt you) but check for a 2nd opinion, especially about the thyroid issue. See a psychiatrist about your symptoms because it seems to me they are mostly anxiety/depression related. Try to enjoy what you like and do the things you had planned. Go to the gym (It will be hard at the beginning but will make you feel much better) and enjoy the summer! I am waiting for the summer as well.  By the way, try to get a lot of sunlight (without overdoing it) as sun rays boost vitamin D levels.
