low vit D and symptoms

Last year I had a blood panel done and it showed I had low vit D of 25.9 ...Last few weeks I have had some unpleasant symptoms and wondered if there was any connection. I get dizzy at times, light headed a lot ..aches and pains ..mild head aches ...bad insomnia ..I tried to take a vit D supplement but it may have been too high and made me nauseus I thought it maybe low thyroid but that came back normal ...

My dosage is IU
I haven't seen mg. I've heard of mg

do you mean IU?

Are they soft gels with a liquid inside?

Try applying them topically instead of taking them orally. Break open the softgel and rub the contents on your skin to be absorbed. 400iu really isn't enough. It's a dose they give to babies. If you're feeling good applying it topically, then you should apply much more. Start slowly to see.

I found that brand online. Maybe you're reacting to the soybean oil. That's not a very good ingredient.

How high a dose of D did you take? What brand?

You will also need magnesium.
Don't use magnesium Oxide.
Glycinate is supposed to be relaxing.
Citrate can have a laxative effect and might keep up up with energy at night so best taken in morning and afternoon.

It's best to split magnesium doses throughout the day. Your body uses it all the time.

How ate your hemoglobin and ferritin levels?

D and magnesium deficiency both cause your symptoms. I also have low D (19ng/mL) tested in September.

Try switching the brand of D3 and you may have better results. I'm not sure how high a dose you took, but maybe start with a lower dose for a few days to see how you feel.

Don't take D2...it's not good for you. Only take D3.
