The Vitamin E overdose effect occurs when more than 1,000mg of Vitamin E is taken per day. Acute vitamin E toxicity effects include nausea, gastric distress, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, easy bruising and bleeding, inhibition of platelet aggregation, diplopia, muscle weakness, and creatinuria.
According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers' National Poison Data System, in 2008, more than 60,000 acute or chronic vitamin overdoses were documented, with 8 major adverse outcomes and 0 deaths.
