I am 59 and will be 60 on 08.09.13. Last year I lost 50 pounds.I went from 275 to 225. I fell into a deep depression around Thanksgiving 2012 while working in NYC soon after the big storm, Sandy. I t was just preoccupied with turning 60 this year. My physician suggested a book "Younger next year". It was inspirational & frightening . I am now back into a daily Gym routine of only 45 minutes with an emphasis on Aerobics. I will increase my efforts at the Gym as time passes. Is it unreasonable to lose another 50 pounds by my 60th birthday?
I am 21 years old. January 1 I was 145 pounds and at only 5ft tall I was really feeling self conscious about my body. I decided that out of all the things in life I can't control, what I put in my mouth isn't one of them. I started counting calories and reading labels and realized that all of the mindless eating, the junk food, and soda was just adding up to quickly to be able to get any real meals in me so I had to cut all of that out. I didn't change to all healthy foods, I just ate smaller portions and I work out a few times a week. I only intake about 1200 calories a day, but I don't feel like I'm starving. It's February 20 and I am down to 129! Good luck and keep at it.
