I understand what you mean about eating sugar or other simple carbs - the craving sort of turns into a vicious cycle, that's hard to break.
Yes of course! I got so used to eating like this that it has become a lifestyle change, if I do eat junk food once in awhile, the next day I'm back to eating how I always eat! I find eating less carbs curves my appetite by a lot, once I eat something with a lot of sugar or carbs, I get high cravings.
Are you eating a diet that you can maintain over long periods - lifestyle change?
You're doing great and hopefully, others will get inspired by your success.
Thank you, I lost it within a year and a half, I started of by walking an hour a day, then gradually increased my speed and decreased my time. Eventually I led down to 30 mins jogging. Eating habits had to be changed, I ate low carb foods (which, I'm still doing).
You can only do your 30 minute jogs; however, it's best to add in some weight training as you go - maybe just 2-3 days/week, as it's best to give muscles a break between workouts. If you cut back on the weight training and see that you start gaining weight again, you'll know you need to increase your activity.
By the way - congratulations on the 175 lb loss; that's pretty awesome. How long did it take you get that off? Did you go on a special diet or anything, or just healthy eating and exercise? We're always interested in how people lose their weight.
