Need MOTIVATION!!

OK folks!  I really need some motivation here.  I joined Weight watchers on-line and think it is great, however, getting me to DO it is something else.  I have been eating NON-STOP now for the last three weeks.  Nothing fits...which makes me feel worse, and swimsuit season is around the corner.  Can someone help motivate me?

I suzi-q I recommend going into the WW meetings. Having to actually be present and weigh in really makes you lose the weight. It's great motivation.

Good luck!

The straw that broke the camels back for me and got me to WW was a family portrait, I noticed for the first time that I had a double chin, plus I was having to face the fact that I needed to go up another size and I just couldn't bear it.  But in reality for the past couple years I have been dealing with health related anxiety issues and I recognized that my unhealthy habits in regard to eating were my biggest threat.  I have been so happy since I joined WW because I feel like I am in control of my health (something I never felt before) and the anxiety has pretty much disappeared.  It's really been a very liberating experience for me and I wish that feeling for you too and everyone else here struggling with weight loss.

Thank you to both of the above posters!  I did once belong to WW with meetings and you are right that it is GREAT!  However, where I live now, the meetings are further away and I know I would find excused not to go!  Yes, I do need to get myself on track!  I love the way I feel when I lose weight.  It changes my whole way of thinking.  I feel sooo good!  So I WILL follow the 8 good health guidelines and make a schedule on when and what to eat.  That is my biggest problem...I need to PLAN!!!  I also need to clean out all my red light foods...yes...this is what I will do...thank you!

Hi Suzi, I'm your neighbor from across the Delaware!  I joined WW in January and so far have lost 13 pounds.  I have just begun to notice a change in the way my clothes fit and I am loving it.  I am like Peek in that I need the accountabilty that a meeting provides.  Before WW I had a little success on eDiets but I ultimately failed, I felt too isolted.  At the meetings everyone celebrates with you and encourages you when you have a bad week, there is an element of "we're all in this together".  Still, I think that you can enjoy great success with the online program.  For me the changes have been that I do not graze all day anymore instead I have set times that I eat.  You'd be amazed at how quickly a bite here or there adds up.  I also resist the urge to clean up my girls' plates, I tell myself that I am not a trash can.  Habits are hard to break but with a little retraining this new and healthier way of eating will become second nature.  Congrats on taking on this healthy challange.  You're whole family will enjoy the benefits.  I have no doubt you will be successful.  Just remember that slow and steady wins the race!

I lost over 40 pounds now on WW.  Suzi, you have to kick yourself in the arse, clean out your house of empty caloric junk food, and examine what's going on in your life that is triggering binges.

If I can do it, anyone can.   The problem I have with the online program is accountability.  Knowing I have to get on a scale at meetings every Monday morning keeps me on program a lot of times when I know I'm slipping.

I'm sure some people can do it online, and there are many success stories with online members.  But me, personally...in the early days of my struggle, I would have found it very hard without the accountability of the meetings.

Focus on making just one change this week.  Follow the 8 good health guidelines for just one week.  I find it very hard to be hungry when I follow them exactly.  Go to the WW website every day and share your struggles.  There are many others in similar situations that can share advice how they got over it and found some motivation.

Good luck!
