Thank you this has helped me alot!
It can "indirectly". Safe/healthy weight loss has been defined by many studies to be around 2-3 pounds per week(lost). There are a lot of factors for each individual person that determine what amount of weight lost is still safe/healthy. But generally you dont want to lose much more than 2-3lbs per week. This is because when you diet, it typically requires you to restrict or remove certain nutrients to lose weight. If you over-restrict/reduce these nutrients, it affects your health because your body needs those specific nutrients(just not as many as you may have consumed prior to dieting). In fact, in very extreme cases of "rapid weight loss", it can cause your menstrual cycle to cease(not forever necessarily, but usually until your health is restored enough...)
