Had a great time.  Took the kids to the Bass Pro Shop & ate at Hemingway's Grill next door.  An amazing place.  Then took the kids to a play fountain in the middle of an outdoor mall.  I stayed with the kids while my mom shopped & she stayed with them while I bought them dry clothes.  LOL

I have also lapsed with emotional eating this week, but am battling back each day and have persevered and lost 1 lb.  It is a start.  With the support of this community .. I am finally beginning to feel better physically and emotionally .. and am working on establishing a routine that has time for me and time for others.

Have made some headway this week.  The water leaking in the kitchen has been resolved after tearing the furnace and A-coil apart (I have now gained the skills to keep it in repair for the future), I've moved clothes from upstairs to downstairs for the seasons (a little late but it needed done), I've been to various doctor appointments and adjusting to the multiple meds (13 a day .. when I used to take 1).  The nocardiosis is continuing to heal and I'm doing slightly better with the pill that makes me so sleepy.

Eating a little something, throwing on some play clothes and heading for a walk.  Was going to go to the lake, but may go to the school as there are some workout stations around the track that I've been wanting to check out and do.

Trudie - Your tenacity and determination say much about your depth of character and your "can do" attitude continues to shine brightly.  YOU are an inspiration.

sunshine - Positive thinking is half the battle and, in fact, is is more like 90% of the battle for me.  My positive frame of mind is what allows me to keep going day after day and believing .. it inspires me to go walk because I believe I will feel better .. even when my mind is say "no, stay home" .. and I always feel better!  CONGRATULATIONS on your eating and exercise this week .. WELL DONE!!!!  Do have a good time with your mom .. and YOU CAN EAT OUT WISELY .. perhaps ask for a box and split the order, choose items you know are prepared correctly (grilled vs fried) ... and best wishes ...

Positive thinking is half the battle.
I received the tests back from the Dr's office on Friday.  My TSH levels are high.  When I looked up the symtoms I found everything I have complained about to the Dr for the last 10 years.  Hair loss, energy, tremors, etc.  It was a little frustrating that they never checked this until after I turned 30.  But that's water under the bridge.  Hopefully now that we know we can take care of it.  Did good on my eating and exercise this week.  Going out to eat with my mom today.  First time eating out on the new plan.  Wish me luck.

Sorry we missed last week.  I was away and had a broken scale.  This past week has had considerable emotional eating but I still managed to lose and hoping it is not just due to wine dehydration!

I've allowed myself to get mired and down about my physical issues.  My doctor is frustrating me and I'm not getting answers.  But, I listened to some testimonials of other women with Lupus and this did so much for me.  I am determined to not give in to this disease and to get moving.  After listening last night I noticed that the rain had subsided and went out for a walk.  I am determined to move each day and fight back.
