Successful Weight Loss AFTER depo shots--how do you do it?

I was on depo shots for about 5 years, no symptoms, no problems. I loved it. Then, when I went off, I went from 105 lbs (which I've been since I was 19, now 26 years ago) at 5' tall, to 115. I went back on the depo a year later, but I had periods the entire time and gained more weight to 120, though slower. I've just decided to go off again to try to get my body back to normal. Now I'm tipping scales at 135. No major change in caloric or fat intake (I have always been a light, very low cal eater, usually not eating dinner at night.) I've tried my usual but the weight isn't budging and if I eat like a real person, weight comes back.

What diets have worked for other 40+ people going off depo???

recently i have get these tips from my fried is it work?

   1.  Commit to consuming 4 - 6 small meals and snacks everyday.

   2. To succeed, you must plan ahead by packing your foods the night before. Thus, you should always have fresh and low-fat foods around.

   3. Keep it simple. Don't get too caught up on the specifics or your diet. Start by simply just counting calories.

   4. Eat your foods slower.

   5. Make healthier food selections like fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, and beans, low-fat or nonfat dairy products, low fat meats, fish and skinless poultry.

   6. Avoid foods that are high in fat and calories.

   7. Avoid foods that are high in sugars such as pastries, candy bars, pies and candy.

   8. Use a variety of fruits and vegetables in your nutrition plan. Start by trying to eat 5 total vegetable and fruit servings every single day.

I've never been on depo, but I would think that once it's out of your system (however long that takes), losing weight shouldn't be any different than it is for others.

Have you been checked for medical issues that could be causing this gain/inability to lose?  Common issues are hypothyroidism, insulin resistance and PCOS.

You don't say whether or not you get any exercise.  Unfortunately, if you don't use the calories you take in, they will turn to fat.

You really should eat 3 meals/day, but try to make breakfast the largest meal, then lunch next, with a lighter dinner.
