You can also find exercise videos on YouTube, and we have food and exercise trackers right here on MedHelp.
Green tea is said increase metabolism, but it never worked for me. I've never heard of cold showers doing anything to help lose weight.
Hey, I'm a personal trainer & my recommendations are to clean up your diet.
For weightloss, you need to be eating less calories than your body needs per day. Aim to cut out processed junk like sugar(glucose), bread, pastries, pasta, packet food/ready made meals etc, as our bodies do not need these at any age!
Sugar spikes your insulin levels highly, which can create lots of problems in your body when you are eating a lot of sugar on regular basis & eating bad fats such as Trans & some man made poly-unsaturated fats like margarine, vegetable oils etc are really bad for your health.
Choose good fats from: avocados, coconut & it's oil (small amounts) olive, sesame & avocado oils & small serves of nuts & get lots of fresh veggies & lean proteins such as chicken breast, lean pork, all kinds of seafood, low fat dairy etc.
Educate yourself on "paleo diets" as these give great eating guidelines for not only weight loss, but an overall health boost.
For the exercise component, aim to get moving more. This can include just simply going for walks/ light jogs for 1/2hr to 45minutes, 3-5 times per week. It's a great idea to do some resistance or weight bearing training aswell to build up lean muscle mass, but only do this strictly under a trainers guidance, as you'll need to be taught proper technique to safely lift heavy weights.
Good luck :)
Jogging a great choice. Also yoga you can watch videos on YouTube on how to do it. You could also buy a weight ball and do core exercises
There is a zumba class in my village so I thought it would be good for me to do zumba as exercise in the winter...do you think it's a good idea??
And you told me not to eat much bread.....but because of school I usually eat a sandwich with turkey ham and cheese or fat free cheese spread.. what else could I eat in order to avoid bread??
Try a whole grain wrap in place of bread or even use a large lettuce leaf to wrap your meats and cheese in. You could also cut them up into a salad and add a hard boiled egg and other veggies, such as tomato, cucumber, onion and whatever else you like, with an oil and vinegar dressing. Add a piece of fruit and a couple of crackers and you have lunch.
Zumba is great exercise, as well... give it a go.
But I can't eat lettuce, salad and meat for breakfast. I am from Greece so at school we just eat breakfast at the 10 minutes break between the lessons. We don't have lunacy school. So for breakfast what do you recommend ?
