Why am I fainting?

i'm a 24 year old male, don't know if this is the right place to be but i'm looking for some different opinions for a situation that i'm having. I've been on Adderall for about 6 months now and everything has been going fine, until now.
Before getting on the drug, I've been warned about the Appetite sepressant that it is. Although, the medicine was great in that area, i went from 283 lbs in May 08 to 209 lbs Nov.  But yesterday, I fainted for the first time ever in my life. While i'm not at any of the risks that the drug warns about, The doctor told me that he wasn't too sure, could be my weight loss so fast, my medicine, withdrawls, or then he turned to earwax????? I've been experiencing slight dizziness for about two weeks, I just thought that it happened because i stood up to fast. Thats the only time that i would experience it????? Any opinions or advice would  be greatly appreciated??? oh yeah, i'm persribed 30 mg's 3 times daily....

**This are suggestions, I am no Md. I am a nurse**
How has been your fluids lately, have you been recently sick? Sometimes when you stand up from a sitting position too fast you may get dizzy, you blood pressure could be dropping (orthostatic hypotention)because of this.

Earwax thing is true too, build up in your ear can throw off your equilibrium and make you dizzy also....back to have you been sick with a headcold or something? Pressure in there dose that.

I am not really all that familiar with adderall, but if it  can cause your pressure to drop you may need an adjustment.

Did your md offer you any labs to check for electrolyte imbalance, deficencies?

All mearly suggestions.  Hang in there I know its frustrating. Definately you need to have this addressed.

Regarding your appetite suppression, if you are unable to eat try those health shakes, protein supplements and increase your fluids. Also are you taking any vitamins, you may become anemic and this will cause you problem.

Good luck, stick with the group we are quite the supportive bunch.

Heya Kale, first thing is to talk to the doc again.  Congratulations on the weight loss by the way.  You shouldn't be getting a lot of dizzy and you shouldn't faint - but then you know that.  There are so many things that could cause that, I'm not sure anyone could give you a good set of options to check on your own (I can't!).  Good luck!
