I am eating healthy and excersing but not burning belly fat off and looking lean, why?

I am a 16 year old boy. I am about 5'8 and weigh about 149 pounds. I still have about 15 punds to lose to reach my goal and it is killing me! I am eating healthy as I can. Breakfast- cereal's 1 serving size mabye a bannana on the side other time oatmeal or 2 eggs and a 1 peice of wheatbread as toast. Lunch- Turkey sandwhich on wheat, etc. and dinner is usual some type of chicken with green beans and rice. Stuff like that with 1-2 healthy snacks between meals. I go to the gym almost every day and workout about 20-30 minutes on the elyptical then lift weights and then I train for cross country every night. about 3.5-5 miles every night.

I have lost a good bit of weight but for about a 2 months nothing has happend. I don't know why I am not losing weight but recently I look like I have been gaining weight.

Suggestions, tips? Please help

if your lifting weights you should try and consume atleast 1-2 grams of lean protein per how much you weight, so you should be having atleast 150 grams of protein a day this should help you get down some more weight

I have the same problem as you.  If I were you, I will have some change either on food intake & workout.  Let's change a little bit , you might get some change and weight loss.  Good luck.

Thanks for your post!

I actually think that your weight is appropriate for your height.  I personally don't recommend that you try to actively lose weight, but continue a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and regular exercise.  Take care.
