With the exception of HCG, I couldn't agree more with the posts above:
Green tea is one of the few supplements with reasonably good evidence to support an association with weight loss, although studies suggest that you might need to drink four cups a day to gain a significant benefit.
Fruits and vegetables - sounds obvious, but it works. If you increase your intake of fresh produce, you will eat less sugar, less processed food, and less salt.
Walk! Walking is a fantastic exercise, regardless of whether you want to lose weight or maintain weight loss.
Exercise DVD's are fun - hard to stick with beyond a few weeks, but fun. No reason not to give it a try.
Best of luck!
Dear Tray,
I've never been obese, but I do know what it is like to be unhappy with yourself. The best thing I can suggest is to get some fitness DVD's. And if you are unable to buy them, then I suggest YouTube! They have TONS of great videos for ALL fitness levels.
Just search "exercises for beginners." Then work up from that! If it's hard to do an entire video, then cut it into pieces and do 5-10 minutes at a time throughout the day!
And of course, the BEST BEST BEST thing you can do for weight loss is watching what you are eating. Eat anything natural--fruits, veggies, and LEAN proteins ONLY---but eat as much as you want! Stay away from anything packaged, anything from a box, and even a can. Cut out sodas and anything with calories--even iced tea and juice! These are hidden calorie traps.
Honestly, if you do these, I PROMISE you will see results. It will be hard, but I know you can do it! Clearly you want to make a change! Gotta start somewhere! : )
PS: And end your day with green tea--you'll feel so great it the morning!
i am thinkig of taking the HCG injection from my DR for 30 days
i have a set of 7 cd's of turbo jam - read my earlier post and let me know if you are interested.
good luck - just keep with it.
I will try that green tea at night to see how i feel in the morning!!!
Pilar 02803, wow great advise.
I will take the advise myself. I am 85 lbs over weight myself and you are right, when I think about it I do eat lots of pkg'd and bottled food.
Also simply walk. start with 15 mins and increase to 45 mins with time.
Thanks for the advise.
Hey there..I am a 51 year old woman with the same problem..I am hoping to get some good info from this site..perhaps you and I can do this weight loss thing as a team..sometimes having a buddy to work with and help motivate is a good thing. I am bringing a tredmill home and thought that might help. I live way out in the country in northwest Minnesota and the weather does not always allow me to walk outside. I also travel a lot as my hubby and myself ride our Harleys all over but that is not exercise either. I just quit smoking , today is my 5th day..it is soooo hard and I am very scared about the weight gain part of that as well. So here I go..lets keep in touch..i would like to lose 5 pounds my first month of non smoking...then i think i would be motivated to keep going.
