Also live in Texas and slowly becoming one by choice. I find Texans to be very nice people. Also just starting and it would be nice to have some support. End of my first three days and have lost 3.8 # or 7.2 % of my goal. Concentrating on slow eating, lots of water before meals and during meals to help with the full feeling, and portion control which has been my biggest downfall. all the best ..continue the mission.
Welcome Tedra and good luck - its lovely to see a drop when you have been stuck for a while- well done :)
Hi, new to the forums. I'd like to post weekly in this thread. I had a gastric bypass March 23, 2012 so I'm still in the recovery stages as far as food intake. I weigh Sunday mornings and this morning I was 270.0. Really pleased with that as for three weeks I've been sitting at 274.2. Hope everyone is feeling great and just doing their best.
Together we can achieve amazing things - together we can win :) x
Welcome to the group! I hope you have a strong start!
Hi all,
I'd like to join this group!! I have alot of weight to lose, and have such a hard time with it. I feel like a crack addict when it comes to carbs! Seriously!
So this is my first week, not just with this group but with this round of trying to lose weight. No. It's not a round, it's a way of life. (keep repeating until it happens)
I'm starting at 214lbs, and my goal is 175 (milestone, I'll keep going after). So far...no change, but it's still early! This is day 2.
If you're looking for another friend in this site....msg me!
Fantastic - you must be so pleased with that kick start - hope this is another good week for you :) x
Great work! I see you've recently hit the 100s which is excellent. You're getting so much closer to your goals. I hope you can feel it!
I just started this week so this will be my one week of big weight loss. I am down 7.6 pounds in this week. I hope to continue losing 1-3 pounds per week afterwards. I've learned to make really interesting different smoothies for breakfast (my chocolate banana shake is healthy and almost as good as the real thing) and keep changing up the salads. I've been eating mostly raw fruits and veggies with nuts and healthy oils added in. I hopefully will continue to see some good results!
Good luck, y'all (ok, I live in Texas [but not a Texan] but I felt like throwing in some local flavor)! :)
