Healthy Liver and general health

I was told i had a slightly fatty liver. I am now on a serious health kick and want to be as healthy as I possibly can. I have been drinking warm water and lemon every day, adding tumeric to my diet and eating beans and pulses and veg, which I am generally good at eating anyway on a regular basis.
What are the best foods to eat day to day for full nutritional health and health of organs such as liver and heart.
Any replies would be much appreciated, thank you :-)

Glycemic index diet is a general term for weight-loss diets that are based on your blood sugar level. Many popular commercial diets, diet books and diet websites revolve around the glycemic index, including Nutrisystem, the Zone diet and Sugar Busters.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!
There can be many causes of fatty liver like dietary, obesity, intake of alcohol, severe weight loss, malnutrition, total parenteral nutrition, hepatitis C etc.It is also seen in patients with diabetes mellitus and those with high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. You seem to be otherwise healthy so a slight fatty liver can be easily cured. Are you obese? If you are obese then a program consisting of a nutritious low fat diet, exercise and weight reduction can be helpful. I will advise you to avoid sugary foods, saturated fats, and foods high in cholesterol. Use monosaturated fats like olive oil, canola oil instead of polyunsaturated fats. You may need supplements of vitamin B and E as they are good for liver.Do consult your doctor before starting any multivitamin supplements. All these will help.
Take care and good luck!
