How do I lose weight ?

I am 19 years old. I want to lose 20 pounds. I have tried before and I had trouble with it. I've been taking Mega-T Green Tea with South African Hoodia 100mg. Has anyone ever tried this, and does it work. Also can someone give me some ideas on what I can eat, without gaining weight ? Also what exercises work the best ?

I would really appreciate any ideas.

Regarding eating, I fully agree with Barb - it all boils down to being sensible. Eat reasonable amounts, eat healthy snacks often (fruit, carrot sticks, etc), stay clear of fats, stay clear of sugar. It really is pretty simple in theory - getting it done is the tricky part ;)

As for exercise, what matters most is that you pick something you enjoy and do it with regularity. If gyms work for you, then a simple 3-day split with 20 to 30 minutes of weight training, followed by 30 to 45 minutes of cardio ought to do it. I.e.: squats and crunches, followed by cardio on whichever machine you prefer.

If gyms aren't for you, then you could walk, jog, sign up at a local sports club to play some sports, swimming, kickboxing with a heavy bag, etc.

Good luck!

Yes, I've tried Mega-T AND Hoodia -- did nothing for me.  That's why I'm here.  About the only thing that really works long term is a sensible diet and moderate exercise.

Making single small changes works best -- such as stop drinking sodas and drink water instead.  Or exchange white bread for whole grain.  Stop eating things with sugar -- try stevia instead.

Make sure you get several servings of fresh fruits and veggies every day, get at least 3 servings of low/no fat dairy, snack on raw veggies or apples rather than candy bars or cookies.

Most exercises will work -- the trick is picking something you enjoy and being consistent.  Walking is always good. Plus there are tons of exercise videos that can get - depending on what you like.  You might try out your local library to see what they have available and "test drive" a few videos before buying them.  My personal favorite is yoga.
