Liquid diet ..?

Hey,
I am 16 years old, 5'8 (173cm) tall and I weigh 136Ibs (62kg). I want to get down to 115 Ibs (52kg). I want to lose it as fast as possible. I think I will try the liquid diet for one month. Does any of you have experience with that?

Love, Sam

Liquid diet is not a good practice for weight loss.  This is because, if the liquids are not supplying things like protein, then your body starves for calorie food. As a result, your body goes into survivor mode and metabolism slows down to preserve energy.

At 16 yrs old, 5'8", 136 lbs, you are not overweight.  115 lbs would make you underweight.  Liquid diets are not intended to be sustainable methods of losing weight and as soon as you begin eating food, again, you'll gain back whatever weight you manage to lose.

Also, at 16, your body may not be fully developed and fad diets are not healthy for you.

You need to eat properly portioned healthy foods and get plenty of exercise.
