i have the same problem you do and i understand how frustrating it may be, Going to the gym is a good start. But if you really want to lose weight cutting back on calories will really help. Try to eat 1500 calories a day but make sure you dont skip meals. Losing weight is easier if you have someone to support you so find a family member or close friend who will also try to lose weight with you. Fast food is packed with calories and fat (at least most of it is) so avoid it but if you're going to eat it then try to get the healthiest thing there and yes drinking water does help. Drink water all day and if you try all this you should be seeing results.

yes, i agreed with the post above. losing weight is a combination of diet and exercise. you can't have one without the other. and definitely, do not skip any meals. that's a big no-no. make sure the food you're eating are healthy options such as lean meats, whole wheat, good fats (low-fat), and lots of fruits and veggies. remember, to lose 1 pound, you must burn or get rid of 3500 calories. it's recommended that a healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. to lose 1 pound a week, you'd have to shed or burn 500 cal a day to get that 3500 calorie deficit. whether that's from a combination of eating and exercise or one or the other alone, you'll need to have that calorie deficit. there are tons of websites out there that can help you determine how many calories you need to reach a particular weight goal. oh, also remember that losing weight is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix overnight deal. so stay positive, keep at it and good luck! you'll get there. :)
