Motivation

Hi everyone,
Just discovered this app, and I wanted to have your advice about how to get motivation about loosing weight. I have a tendancy to eat when I'm bored, and also I cant help myself to eat when there is food in front of me. I know it is especially self-control, but I can't help it and then, when I write my diet diary, I feel guilty.
Any good tips ?

It's easier to exercise self control, if you don't have unhealthy food around you. Try getting rid of everything that's not good for you, then when you reach for food, you won't have to worry about it.  Stock your fridge with fresh fruits and veggies, fill your plate mostly with veggies, which have a lot of fiber and will help keep you full.  Also make sure you eat some protein with each meal, as protein also helps keep you fuller, so you reach for food as often.

When you're bored, go for a walk, pick up a book or hobby to distract yourself.

Use the guilt to your advantage. Every time you eat something unhealthy and write it down you will feel bad for awhile, but you will pause the next time you reach for that unhealthy good because, you won't want to feel the guilt of writing it down. just keep journalling. good luck.
