Don't misunderstand me - B12 DOES boost energy or I wouldn't be moving much at all - it's just that I've not lost any weight on it.........I can't say whether it makes a difference if I have a deficiency or not but since I take the shots, I am now in the "normal" range, so it should work for me like it does anyone else.........
I heard that the B12 shots boost your energy level considerably therefore helping with losing weight. Do you think that someone with an actual B12 deficiency wouldn't benefit from them as much as a person with normal B12 levels? I know that when I drink those B12 energy 'shots' (Five Hour Energy drink) that it gets me up and moving quick style and it suppresses my hunger. So I've been thinking that if I got a B12 shot that stays in my system for two whole weeks I'd be unstoppable! I don't know...maybe I'm just going to have to try it and see what happens.
I've never taken phentermine, myself, but my daughter's boyfriend takes it. He's lost some weight, but hasn't changed eating habits much, so I'm sure he will regain all the weight as soon as he stops the med. No matter what drug you take, you will have to incorporate diet changes and exercise or the whole thing will be a waste of time..... I do know that it can cause your heart rate to do "funky" things.........
As for B12 shots - I take them every 2 weeks for pernicious anemia (b12 deficiency) and I can guarantee, they do nothing for weight loss. I've been on them for over 2 yrs and if they caused or even helped with weight loss, I'd be a bean pole by now..........
