I'm sorry the diet didn't work out for you, as I know you were counting on it to help you.
I agree with kimmit that you need a variety of foods - there's a reason for the food pyramids, etc. We really do need all of that stuff.
Protein is important to a healthy diet, but you must have the proper vitamins/enzymes to break it down.
Fad diets are rarely good for you, and once you go off them, the chance of regaining the weight is so great; many people end up gaining even more.
I do hope you will decide to stay with us and opt for a good healthy eating/exercise program that you can stick with.
yeah, my nutritionist told me its best to have a varied diet, not one that only focuses on one particular food group, such as protein. my mother in law went on the atkins a few years ago and she literally never ate carbs, her hair started looking dull and falling out, her skin got real dry, and a whole lot of other stuff going on. and it just didn't sound healthy, like for her snack she would throw strips of bacon in a ziplock back and toss in her purse.... i'm sorry but bacon has a lot of fat in it, i don't see how eating bacon every day for a snack is supposed to be healthy for you. and she gained it all back and them some when she stopped the diet. i tried so many fad diets out there, i'd like to announce that i have lost 36 pounds since oct. i have been a bit slack these past few days, but i'm getting back on track, i just count calories and eat clean and healthy, and my diet consists of all food groups for variety.
