Summer Weight Loss Challenge

Who’s ready for bikini time??  Certainly, not I……………..

With just 6 weeks before the first day of summer, this seems like a good time to start a new challenge, to get “fit and fine”, for the bikini, bathing suit, sundress, shorts and tank top, or whatever your favorite dress code is for summer.  

Oh, and let’s not forget that we’ll be healthier for losing those excess pounds!!

I, personally, have too much weight to lose, to think of getting into a bathing suit of any kind, this summer; I might opt for shorts and tank top …….. at any rate, it’s long past time for me to get busy and get the weight off.  

SO – in order to get as “fit and fine” as I can, and knowing that small goals aren’t so daunting, I’m committing to losing no less than 1 pound/week for the next 6 weeks – that’s from now till June 21st, which is the first day of summer.

“Only 6 pounds”, you say?……. well, that will be 6 pounds less than I weigh today, and if I am real diligent, maybe I can lose more; AND losing 6 pounds just might be the encouragement I need to keep going to lose the rest of the weight I need to lose….

I’m challenging every one of you to “meet or beat” my goal.  

All you have to do to join in, is make a commitment to lose at least 1 pound/week.  Can’t be *that* hard, right??  Hmmmmmm, we’ll see about that!!  LOL

So here we go; just post below that you want to join, then start by losing (weight, that is).  We will use our Sunday Weigh In thread to keep track of progress. For those not familiar with the Sunday Weigh In – this is a post that I do each week (on Sunday…. lol), in which we post our weight loss for the previous week, “brag” about our successes, talk about whatever problems we might have encountered, what we might do to change things, encourage those having problems staying on course, etc……….. Watch for it – I post it every Sunday morning, with the title “Sunday Weigh In (date)”.  

Everyone is welcome to post on the weigh in thread, whether or not you choose to join this challenge.

Are you ready??   LET’S “WIN” BY LOSING (weight, that is)……………….

Weight loss is a basic issue in recent days. People are eating junk food, unhygienic foods, and oily foods which are not good. Exercise, meditation, and yoga are very necessary otherwise people's lifespan will reduce (Urban Buddha).

This thread is 6 yrs old and of the previous posters, I'm the only one still active on the forum.  I doubt anyone else will respond to your post.

That said, I couldn't agree with you more...

I'm on Cycle 1 of FL4I

Yesterday was day 2 (Fruit day)...It all started out good until after my 2nd meal. Then the bad hunger set in along with a headache.

I doubt I'll ever eat my sandwich first thing on fruit day again.

The tomato soup someone suggested helped me with the rest of the evening.

(starting weight) Day 1 Weigh in was 226.8 lbs
Day 2 I weighed in at 223.4 lbs
Loss 3.4
(today) Day 3 I weighed in at 220 lbs
another 3.4 lb loss
Total for 2 days diet is 6.8 lbs.

I drink over 80 fl oz of water a day, eat 4 times a day, I don't count calories and I've been walking on the treadmill 30 mins a day at about 2.5 mph.

I'm shocked at how the weight is just dripping off of me.  I really hope this continues.

You can always have the option of showing your tracker in your posts no matter where you post.  I would love to know how the Fat Loss 4 Idiots works out for you, my body obtains a lot of fat when I eat the wrong foods, so keep us posted on your progress and any tips that really are helping you :)

Ok, I'd like to join.
Can I post my weight ticker as I lose or is it only on Sunday.?
The diet "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" I am on has 11 day cycles with 3 days off. (Really not supposed to weigh until the end of the 11 day cycle...however I didn't get fat by doing what I'm "supposed" to do)

So i want to join...but i would like to start this sunday?? its my nephews 3rd bday this wkend and i just would like to feel alittle comfortable by my neices 2nd birthday july 27th and atleast back to 130 in august!...
I've cut down alot on soda and i've been drinking water&cranberry juice (its my fav.) i've been trying to cut down majorly on RedBull too.
I'll hopefully be starting water arobics
i hope that works and at home yoga and walking in the evenings...
oh&definately not eating greasy fast foods. :) wish me luck!

You know there was a time when I didn't have weights either and I used heavy food cans or filled water jugs to lift and tone with.  I know it sounds funny but it worked and it was accessible to me at the time.  Hope your ankle gets better, no more playing around on the treadmill! lol

Ok girls so far so good, am starting weight training next week with the hubby and have told him to push me and DONT FOR THE LIFE OF ME let me back out or use excuses!! lol All up anather kg down this week that makes 9kg in total so far :-)
