congratulations on your new baby. now, losing weight after a pregnancy is never easy. remember to start off easy and slowly add-on tasks. watching what you eat and making sure you eat healthy meals/snacks is also very important, especially if you are breastfeeding. you want to make sure you're consuming enough calories and nutrients to keep your body going as well as to make sure your milk supply is good for your baby. i'm no health or fitness expert, but having lost all the baby weight before from my first pregnancy, i say slow and steady is the best way to go. don't expect to lose a huge chunk in one week or two, etc. start off with simple exercises such as walking for 30 minutes 4-5 times a week. then maybe add on more minutes as that gets easier or perhaps even consider mixing it up with walking/running 4-5 times a week for 30-60 minutes. make sure that as you're exercising that you eat plenty, but never too much. calories in and calories out play a huge role in weight loss. to lose 1 pound a week, you must have a 3500 calorie deficit in that week. so it's really getting rid of 500 calories a day... and whether it's from consuming 250 calories less than what you normally eat and burning 250 calories from exercising, you can mix it up however you want to get that deficit. if you breastfeed, i hear that can help with the calorie burning (as much as 500 calories/day). well, i'm sure in no time you'll get your pre-pregnancy figure/weight back. good luck and congrats again! :)
