hcb and b-12

i see ppl talking about b12shots and hcb are they the same thing

How right you are about the B12.  I know people who take vitamin B12 shots to help lose weight, but the benefit of the B12 is that it gives them energy to exercise more.  I have a legitmate B12 deficiency and inject myself every 2 weeks with 1000 mcg.  I have been taking the shots for about 1 1/2 yrs and the 35 pounds that are so "attached" to my body and won't let go, makes me living proof that B12 is not a weight loss supplement.  B vitamins will help in a lot of other ways though, so are important to a good diet.  Since there are several B vitamins and they each depend on the others to work well, it's generally recommended that a good B complex be taken if you don't get enough from food.

B-12 shots are not the same as hcg shots.  B-12 shots are a vitamin, hcg is a hormone.  

According to Mayo Clinic, "There's no evidence that vitamin B-12 in any form — including vitamin B-12 injections — enhances weight loss. One study published in 2005 suggested that people who took a number of different supplements, including vitamin B-12, gained weight more slowly over a 10-year period than did those who took no supplements. However, many factors must be considered when interpreting the study results, including the fact that people who take dietary supplements tend to be more health conscious — which may contribute to better weight management."

Likewise, they have this to say on hcg, "Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced during pregnancy. Years ago, researchers studied HCG injections as a possible weight-loss aid. Results of most studies weren't promising, however. In fact, HCG injections seemed to be no more effective than were placebos in promoting weight loss. Today, HCG injections are primarily used to treat fertility issues."

If you'd like to lose excess weight, focus on the basics. Take an honest look at your eating habits and daily routine. Then make a commitment to improving your lifestyle. Enjoy healthier foods, and include physical activity in your daily routine. Remember, permanent weight loss takes time and effort. It won't happen overnight, but your hard work will pay off in the end.
