nursing and weight loss?

Any advice on weight loss while nursing without affecting milk supply? Even when i reduce just a little without going below 1800 calories, my milk supply drops. I have gained 22 lbs in 3 months, and i have no energy and am hungry most of the time, from lack of sleep. She's a grazer, and nurses 24/7. I had a great pregnancy and whatever i gained i list when she came out.

i know everyones not the same, but my daughter in law is nursing for the past 4 months.   the baby is huge........ she has lost so much weight she weighs less than she did before she was pregnant.    she eats a great health diet normal  really with full fat milk.  if we only have half/pint a day its ok.  to drink.   i saw a video from Dr constantine hatzis MD  on this site.   even he say's so and explains why its ok.  check him out, he give great advice.

on the brest feeding they say it burns calories so don't stress,  gosh you might need to eat more as strange as it sounds

Are you activity restricted?  If not, walking may help you.  When I nursed, extra fluids were vital to keeping up my supply.  You might increase fluids with fat free milk.  Have you posted on one of the baby groups?
