Hi there.  Welcome.  Really, this is so personal.  I know many women that have had abortions and not regretted it as it was best for their personal circumstances and they went on to have a family when it was a right time.  There is no shame in making this choice and it is your option to do so.

Only you can decide if this is a good time to have a baby or not.  I think you are on the right track to make a pros and cons list.  This again, would be personal to your life.

I can say that having a child was very much my desire but not until I was ready.  I had certain ideas about how I wanted to things to be when I brought a child in a world.  I wanted to be established in a good career, married and in a stable relationship at the very least, have a solid home that we would live in, have health insurance, have my own education under my belt so I'd be a good teacher for my kids etc.  I did wait until these things were in place and my husband and I are proud parents.  I think financially, the heftier price comes as they get older rather than when they are babies, so it is essential to get yourself in a position to be independent financially and comfortable.

so, this means---  you need to think of how you will go to school, how you will work, etc.  You need to understand that a con may be that you give up a good portion of your social life as well.  Kids come first.  I spend my free time with kids.  My me time is rare.  :>)  But I had going out and hanging with friends or partying, etc. out of my system completely before I started a family.  For some, having a child is the motivation they need to make a hard working life a success!  I love when women rise above and accomplish all of their goals as mothers!

Your relationship.  I think that you also have to think about this.  It's hard.  How can you judge if this is a long term relationship if it is very new.  Hard to tell so early in.  But having a child together would make this person part of your life for the rest of your life.

So, I there is lots to consider.  I can't sugar coat it and say an unplanned pregnancy is easy.  But MANY young woman make it work.  But others choose not to.  And some choose to give a baby up for adoption.  There is no right or wrong answer but what is best for you right now.

I'm here to help if you need an ear to bounce your thoughts off of.  good luck sweetie

I'm 7 months pregnant, and got pregnant to a one night stand in college. He wanted me to abort but I didn't because I have nephews and couldn't imagine my life if my sisters aborted them. My baby's father is now on board and although I didn't want kids until I was in my 30s I've never been excited about anything. I'd never forgive myself if I ever aborted apart of me.

I found out i was pregnant a couple years ago. I had just been with the guy a couple months, we were college juniors. I decided to get an abortion which was a tough decision. Now i am with the same guy still and got unexpectedly pregnant in december. We are keeping it and very excited. I know this is a tough decision but do what is best for you and things will work out well for you.

I havent been in your situation but I have a two year old and I can say that you will never regret keeping your baby. It might be scary and stressful but it is so worth it. Don't let your fears overwhelm you because I think everyone is kind of freaked out when they find out they're prego lol
