8 weeks late

Hello,

I have been on birth control for 6 years and recently decided to stop taking it for various reasons. After the first month of discontinuing BC I received my period at 6 weeks which I have read is normal. The second month off BC I completely skipped the cycle and have how gone a little over 8 weeks without my period. I took a PT at 6 and 8 weeks and both were negative. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Call the 800 number of your birth-control pills and see what they say.

Thank you for replying! What is typical for the 2nd cycle off BC?

Eesh.  Maybe call the 800 number of your birth-control pills and see if there is an FAQ that addresses this or if they have a questions line.  If not, ask your doc.  I can see being late the first time, but it is odd to miss the next time.
