9 days late, (-) hpt

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for approximately a year now.  We are both 23 years old.  I usually have a regular 33-34 day cycle.  3 days past my approx. ovulation date, I began spotting and cramping, I was still about 9 days before I should have started my period.  I am now 9 days late and have not started my period.  I am experiencing headaches, nausea at night and sometimes after I eat, gas, extreme bloating, back pain, and my breasts are tender, but only on the sides.  I have random shooting pains in my sides periodically.  My bloating seems worse in the afternoon and at night.  I took a hpt at 5 days late and it was negative.  I have an appt. on the 11th with an OBGYN but was curious as to what my chances could be of having a false negative test?  Also, what tests or questions should I inquire about with my dr?

I thought the same thing when I began spotting and cramping before my period was due.  But when I took a hpt it was negative. :(  I thought for sure that I was pregnant but now I'm not so sure.

yes...it sounds like you are prego. In my experience first response it the best preg test. just tell you dr about all your symptoms. though they are certainly the symptoms i experienced when i got preg.

my doctor told me that it was normal to spot or cramp when the egg was attaching itself to the wall.... so maybe that was what was going on when you started spotting... have you taken a test yet??
