Abnormal Pain after Hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy 4 months ago. I am 33, they went in through the abs and ended up also doing surgery on my bladder, colon and rectum as I had endometriosis that spread all over.  I still have pain but it is very unusual.  The pain is in the lower left pelvic area and spreads up the abs to just above my belly button.  When I press low it hurts high- when I press high it hurts low.  When I have sex it hurts all over and I have twinges of pain after.  The vagina feels fine it is everywhere else that disturbs me.  Any suggestions???  Please help.

I JUST HAD A LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY AND  I HAD A DISCHARGE THAT SMELLED LIKE FISH. I HAD A LOT OF PAIN IN MY ABNORMAL. I COULD NOT LAY ON MY BELLY NOR WERE JEANS. THIS WAS COMING FROM THE AIR OR GAS THEY PUT IN YOUR BELLY TO DO THE SURGEY. THEY BLOW YOUR BELLY UP TO GET TO WHAT THEY NEED TO GET TO. SO ITS UP TO YOU TO MOVE AROUND AND WALK. OR GET GAS PILLS. IT HELPED ME A LITTLE. MAYBE IT CAN HELP YOU. I ALSO WENT TO THE DOCTOR ABOUT THE FISHY SMELL AND GOT THAT TAKEN CARE OF

There is a funny cartoon where the doctor is talking to the patient in the hospital and says "Before we can discharge you, there is one more thing to test.  Please dial this phone number."  While the guy does it, the doctor is checking his stomach with a stethoscope.  Then he says, "I'm afraid we'll have to open you up again.  I left my cell phone in there."

Good luck!!!

Thank you for your input.  There are days when I laughingly say I think the dr. left a retractor inside me lol- but other days it gets me thinking there really is an issue.  I am seeing the dr. on July5.  I will post what he says.

There may have been some nerve damage with the endometriosis removal; the fact that the pain transfers (when you press low you feel it high) makes me think of nerves.  For example, there are some nerves in the abdomen that make your shoulders hurt when they are hit -- the inert gas they use in laparoscopy can really bob around in there for a while and make your shoulders ache like you have the bends.  The good news, I guess, is that if it is your nerves, your surgery was recent enough that it should heal more.  (When I had an appendix surgery, they cut some small skin nerves and the skin there was numb for over a year, but it had finally healed by the 2-year point.)  I'd call your doc who did the surgery, and explain what is happening symptom-wise, and see what he says.  Good luck!
