Abnormally bleeding with IUD

I have had a Mirena IUD installed nearly 2 months ago. I had a VERY heavy period afterwards. I was on Depot until I got it put in. I have been spotting and mildly bleeding since it has been installed. I went to my doctor who said it was just my period catching up with me for not having one on DEPO for over a year. I dont think this is normal, and its not bright red period blood coming out, its the brown stuff. Im just worried, cause my doctor wants me to wait another month before I remove.

Hey I have the same issue, I got Mirena 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped bleeding since. And yea, its not really red its more a brownish like you said. I think its like a final cleaning thing cause I've been seeing the same comments about it. Hopefully it goes away for both of us soon.
