Allergic to Latex?

I have been taking antibiotics to get over a cold, and since I knew that taking them decreases the effectiveness of birth control pills, I used a condom. Two days later I noticed that my vagina was a little swollen and very itchy. I told my fiance and he told me his penis was a little sore and itchy with little red bumps. Could we be having an allergic reaction to the condom? We haven't used a condom in about a year, so maybe we're not use to the latex?
