Any recommended birth control out there?

I have been on birth control for the past three years, I was on yasmin for two years and had severe headaches and was then put on seasonique. I tried to stick it out with the seasonique but I just recently got so fed up with the depression and symptoms I stopped taking it all together. I had NO sex drive on seasonique and now I have a healthy one again but I want to find a birth control that does not take away my sex drive or make me depressed. I was thinking maybe ortho tri cylcen low. Any suggestions? Does anyone actually like the bc they are on??? PLEASE help!! thanks!:)

hey... thanks for the advice! I think that the nuvaring would be too weird for me too! I just need to try something else and I want the lowest dose of hormones possible! BC ***** but I don't want to get pregnant right now. Now I know I definately will not try ortho-evra. Thanks!:)

On the contrary I can tell you one I wouldn't recommend!! Ortho-Evra. Horrible. I was only on it for four months because I just couldn't take it, I was severely moody, depressed, low sex drive, and when I went off it, I swear if someone even looked at me funny I was in tears. I believe because it is only a weekly thing there were more hormones than say the Ortho-TriCyclen Lo would have. IMO, I've always felt the lowest dose is probably the best. I do have a friend that was on NuvaRing and I know she liked it, her only complaint was it felt funny during sex, it would become dislodged and her boyfriend was able to feel it. If it does happen to fall out, in the toliet for instance, you are just supposed to rinse it off and put in back in place! Too weird for me!
