Since I'm uninsured, will someone please offer some advice on home remedies for BV?   Thank you.

Like said above, you need to see a doctor or something. You need antibiotics for BV, and nothing else will work. Leaving the likes of this untreated, or not treated properly can leave permanent damage and I'm sure you don't want that.

Scrape together the money and go to Planned Parenthood and get a scrip for antibiotics.  You really don't want to mess with BV, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, which can in some cases cause scarring that makes it impossible to have a baby later.  BV itself is easy to cure, those other problems, not.
