I suffered with BV for 3 years, I tried everything. Then Started to come across more and more articles about the toxicity of tampons so I stopped using about 2 months ago.  My symptoms are almost completely gone! Most tampons contain chemicals and disrupt our ph, causing an infection or preventing our body from natural healing.

I'm sexually active and only been sleeping with one person. after I had sex I was sore and burning and I thought it could be bv because after awhile I was just sore and itching.
I took uricalm and it help the burning but then that day I started bleeding.

From what I know you need antibiotics to get rid of the infection... Also, you should also make your partner(s) also get medication because if it is BV they will just give it right back to you next time you have sex. I struggled with almost constant BV infections for over a year because the doctor never informed me that my boyfriend was a carrier and needed to take medication too.

Can you call to see if he'll just give you a prescription over the phone?  I don't know if they'll do that but it's worth a try.  You can still go back later for the testing.
