Birth Control

My girlfriend has been on birth control for about a month now. We had sex on 11-17-12 and She was expecting her period to be on 11-20-12! She says she feels the usual symptoms as if she would be starting her period but yet it hasn't started yet. Could this be the birth control altering her cycle? Or does this mean she's pregnant? I need some information on what to expect and I need answers pleeeeassseee!!!

The pull out method is not 100% effective.  People get pregnant from it.  Pre-ejaculate may contain sperm if you have not urinated since the last time you ejaculated.  Look up the birth control pill your girlfriend is on online and see what it says about how long it must be taken (consistently) to be fully effective.  If the birth control has not had time to gather its full effectiveness, there is no guarantee your girlfriend was protected.  Furthermore, even if it is one that requires shorter than a month, a missed pill or just taking the pill at varying times from day to day can add some small level of risk.  If she's not taking the pill at the same time daily advise her to set a cell phone alarm to try to ensure she does this in the future.

I would not freak out about pregnancy until the full week has passed and it's time for her to start the new pack.  If she doesn't have her period by then, buy a pregnancy test and see what happens.  If that comes back negative, she can either wait it out (if she's stressing about the possibility of pregnancy or has recently been ill, periods can be delayed) another week and try another test or go see her gynecologist to see what's going on.

It was unprotected but I'm for sure I didn't ejaculate in her! But could that still mean something? And what about Pre-***? Birth contro can stop that at least right? And if you want to know what pill she is on, she's on Cryselle!

Usually it takes me three to four days after finishing the last active pill to begin my period.  Hopefully the sex was protected.  Depending which pill she is on, back-up birth control is necessary the first month.  Sometimes it is less, depending again on the pill.
