I had the coil fitted 3 years ago,i checked it regulary and have found out this month after going to the doctors that it has disconnected and is now at the top of my uterius or in my abdoman,so to me if your not sure about it dont rush into it think long and hard.I now have an appointment to go and have a operation to remove it where ever it is.

I just got my Merina out! It was the worse experience EVER!!! I had it put in about 8 weeks after I had my son. I bled for 3 months straight after getting it. Had horrible cramps, mood swings, bloating, headaches, and gained Soo much weight. I seriously look like my 6 month pregnancy pictures. After doing more research on it, my husband and I decided it wasn't worth the pain I was going thru.

I'm 33 yrs old, happily married and blessed with two precious girls. I had Mirena (10yrs) inserted inside me on Sept 30, 2004 after my second girl. October 2010 will be my 6 yr on Mirena. I haven't had any problems with my Mirena for the past 5 years. And I'm very thankful for it.

I have a friend who also have Mirena inserted inside her..she was on Mirena for about 2 months then she started to have severe headache, abdomen cramping, lost so much weight..and her skin look so pale most of the time. Mirena doesn't work for her...it cause her too much problems. So she have it taken out. Couple months after it was taken out she was back to normal.

To all those who have been having problems with Mirena..please do have it taken out before something bad happen to you. Find something that will work for you better.
