Blood Clots

I'm 21 years old and I've been having blood clots with my period. When I was 13 I started out with a normal period but the next couple of years I started not having any that lasted till I was about 16, then it started with huge blood clots. Over the next couple of years I went to the doctors and they seem not to be able to help. When I was 19 I was put on birth control pills to help with it and it seemed to work, till about 7 months ago when they started out again they were small this time I was worried that it would happen again so I went to the doctor and she put me back on the pill again but it didn't work well I took the pills like I was supposed to but I still had a period but the clots started again but now they are getting bigger and I'm worried about Anemia it kinda of runs in the family it seems my sister has problems with it and my grandmother had the same problem also my grandfather had issues with it. Any advice?

Well it depends some are little like less then the size of a penny and some have gotten to be the size of a baseball or bigger. Right now the biggest ones I'm getting are about the size of a deck a cards so far, I was just put on a new birth control pill called Errin I'm hoping it'll work.

I thought blood clots were a normal part of your period! I'm 40 and thought this was normal thing. How big are the clots?
