Blood inside my cervix but no period

my last period was October 17, 06. My cycle is 26 days. I haven't had my period since, in the middle  of my cycle I did have severe headache, hip pain all the way to my lower back, strong odor sense  and abdominal discomfort then all these symptoms stopped and my period did not show up, instead, I start having heartburn,  mild tinglingness on my lower right side and mild backache until now still no period. Yesterday I saw a little blood on my finger nail when I touched my cervix, I tried  to touch my cervix again, same thing and I thought my period was about to come but noooooooo Today I did touch it twice again and could see a tiny blood inside my finger nail. I used 5 HPT all negative. I am 16 days past my menstruation..  How many days blood stays inside the Cervix before your period??Is it normal for blood to be in the Cervix and no period?
I am really worried can someone help me? Anyone who has experience or know about what this could be  please help...

Hi everyone, Ive been ttc for almost 3 years, this month I had endless amounts of symtoms last week, extreme nausea, fatigue, dizziness unreal amounts, sore boobs but this is usual some months for me, increased cm although the last 2 hours has dried up. I am 1 day late for af from my usual cycle of 26 days, extreme right sided back pain and cramps in ovary area. I know I ovulated as had positive opks. I done test this morning but was negative, well as soon as I done it a vertical line came up on 2nd window but went after few seconds, god knows why there was a vertical line when states should be horizontal?!?!. Any ways ive been checking my cervix on and off for a few months ive been checking a lot these last few days and today when I went to check and see if it was open I pushed slightly and it pushed up into my vaginal walls and was hard to find. im a little confused as this has never happened before? has anyone else experienced this??

Thank you all for taking your time.

KatieP, you had said your doctor said you missed your period because your egg didn't drop, but is it possible to have multiple eggs drop in the same month?

I know its probably a dumb question, but my period has been so strange lately, and I havent been on any meds or really made any lifestyle or diet changes.

Don't get me wrong, I started my period in the 3rd grade everyonether month pretty much til middle school, then it was 10days a month extremely heavy to where i had to wear overnight pads all the time and change them every 1 to 3 hrs through out the day. This lasted almost through highschool.

The past few years though have been normal.. 4 to 5 days and only heavy bleeding the first day or 2, but last month, although i didn't have very severe pain or heavy blood on my pad, I did have huge clots and lots of blood almost pouring out of my vagina each time I used the restroom. This probably lasted about 4 to 6 days.

I should be on my period now, yesterday I went pee at work and there was some spotting on my panties, so I put a pad on. When I wiped their was very little blood on the paper. Later that day, I went to the bathroom again and nothing, There was one other occurence when there was 1 drop of blood on the pad but nothing when I wiped.

I work until midnight, and around 10:30 pm, I was pretty much doubled over with pain and cramps, I couldn't move and it hurt to breathe, I though for sure I had started, but nothing. I made my bf run out and get me Midol last night and it helped, but still no blood, I do have soreness of my abdomen and anus.

Don't get me wrong.. missing my period this month would be great, especially after last month's fiasco, as long as it wasn't a sign of something more serious!

Charting Your Cervical Position
You should begin checking your cervical position the first day after your menstrual period. Cervical position can be monitored throughout the day and be done while checking your cervical fluid.  This page explains how the different positions of your cervix along with the feel and the opening changes should be logged on your fertility spreadsheet.
Low Cervical Position
Right after your menstrual period, the position of your cervix will be low and easily reached by your fingertip.  This should be charted on your spreadsheet by logging   "L" or "Low".  At this time, a cervical position of low is considered infertile.

Mid Cervical Position
Closer to ovulation your cervix will start to rise.  This is caused by the increasing amount of progesterone in your body.  Your cervix will start moving a little higher within your body but can still be reached rather quickly with your fingertips.  This should be charted on your spreadsheet by logging "M" or "Mid".  At this time there is a possibility of being fertile.

High Cervical Position
A day or two prior to ovulation your cervix will rise to its highest point.  It moves to this level due to the amount of progesterone within your body.  When checking for the position you will notice that it is almost difficult to reach your cervix and should be logged on your spreadsheet as "High".  Note:  Due to the unique way the Charting Consultation Service logs to show at a glance when your peak time is - the letter "X" (extra high) is used for their fertility chart.  At this time you are considered extremely fertile.

Hard Cervix
When you begin checking your cervix the day after your menstrual period has ended, you will notice that the feel of your cervix is rather hard.  It will feel almost as you are touching the tip of your nose.  This should be logged on your cervix as "H" or "Hard".  At this time you are considered infertile.

Soft Cervix
Closer to ovulation your cervix will start to soften.  This is caused by the increasing amount of progesterone in your body at this time.  It may feel almost like touching your bottom lip.  This should be logged on your spreadsheet as "S" or "Soft".  When cervix is soft and high you are considered extremely fertile.

Closed Cervical Opening
When you begin checking your cervix the day after your menstrual period begins you will notice that there is a small slit or a tiny round hole (usually women who have given birth will feel a small hole instead of a slit) which is the opening where sperm enters.  The opening will be very small at this time and should be logged on your fertility chart as "C" or "Closed".  When your cervical opening is at its smallest (closed) you are considered infertile.

Open Cervix
Closer to ovulation you will notice that your cervical opening begins to enlarge.  This makes it easier for sperm to enter into the cervix.  The slit or hole will become larger and will feel very open.  This should be logged on your fertility spreadsheet as "O" or "Open".  When your cervical position is High, Soft and Open you are considered extremely fertile.

Confused about the charting method?  We can help!  The Web Womb has designed a spreadsheet charting method that is easy to log, very thorough and collects your abbreviated data in a way that shows you at a glance exactly when you are most fertile during your cycle.   Having intercourse on the days you see the abbreviations for your indicators as S-E-X-N-O-W gives a very clear indication of exactly when your peak time is and having intercourse on those days will greatly increase your chances for conception.  Whether you are new to charting and need some guidance or are experienced in this method and looking for a better bbt spreadsheet, the Web Womb "SEX NOW" Basal Body Temperature Chart is a must have!  The Web Womb "SEX NOW" Basal Body Temperature Chart includes 12 BBT Spreadsheets, an instruction booklet and sample charts giving examples and highlighting the following topics:

to answer the question on how to check your cervix wel its easy once you know where it is and you cant miss it.
insert a clean finger inside the vagina, your cervix should be about half way say about half the way of your finger where the knuckle is, you will feel your cervix if you just move your finger about, its a lump that is eaither hard, soft high, low etc depending on your time of the month cycles,
another easy way of saying it is that once your finger is inside your vagina half way your cervix is just behind your finger where your nail is facing.....hope that is clear enough and helps you find your cervix for future preference.

I have had a normal 28-day cycle most of my life.  However, 4 days after the end of my last cycle (12/4), I wiped and saw light-colored blood.  It's now 12/7 and there is still blood there.  I'm not worried yet, but this is the first time it's ever happened.  The only thing I've done differently in the past few weeks is started a fiber-supplement regimen.  While I cannot find anything to substantiate my thoughts, it is the only thing to which I can attribute this condition.  My hope is that it's nothing more serious.  If it doesn't subside soon, I will go to the doctor.  If I am able to find any further information, I'll be sure to share.  If I wind up going to the doctor, I will also share her findings. Thank you and all the best to you.

LOL keep lol... Let me try to explain, I did put my finger inside my vagina and check to see if my cervix was opened( I have a low cervix at all time even during pregnancy it takes times to move up) I kind of tried to push my finger toward the entrance which by the way seems close not too soft neither too hard... My morning Temp is 98.3 or 98.1 since missing my period.

I am not taking any medecine at all...I just had mulptiple intercourse during that cycle(unprotected even tough my significant other always pull out before ejaculation LOL) Please any info from experience or someone else experience that you know about?????
Thank you guys for responding so soon and for caring God bless

Hi, this happened to me....doc said it was because I hadnt released an egg, so although mid month symptoms were there, and the feeling that period was due, nothing happened.
I also had some spotting which lasted 2 weeks, until halfway through my next cycle. The next period was pretty heavy though!

Hi!Happened with me once.I was over 10 days late for my af.I found blood in the vagina when i put my finger to check but there was no flow like a normal period. The blood lasted in the vagina for 2 days only but still my doc said it was a period. In my case the reason was that i was on clomid that month and it was nothing but a side effect. My cycle resumed back to normal in the following month. Are you on any kind of medication or hormone suuplements?

Nanis: I have the same question....even i'm not too sure of checking cervical position.Hope to get a reply on this from someone.
