Broken Hymen without Sex

So I may need some help. I know this may not be possible but I think I broke my hymen in a bad bike accident. I was using a friends bike which was too big but they were teaching me. They're bike wasn't in the best condition and during the ride the seat fell off. I wasn't paying attention and I hit a speed bump and the seat bar slammed up me. I bled a lot and was spotted for a couple days with a lot of pain. Did I actually break my hymen?

Hi there.  Couple of things---  you are saying that the metal  part of a bike where a seat goes went up inside of you through your clothing? Far enough to break your hymen?

How old are you if I may ask?

And I really encourage young girls to get help from their parents.  The role of a parent is to protect their kids.  If your story is implausible---  well, you have witnesses, right?  As a mother myself, I really encourage you to trust your mom.  Sure, she doesn't want you to have sex.  Sure, she may question your story.  But your parents, depending on your age, are the best person to help you.  We are strangers on the internet and can't drive you to a doctor or pay for a visit.

If you are an older teen and have transportation, you can try a place like planned parenthood.  However, a broken hymen is not typically a doctor's visit.  An internal injury of some sort is.

When I was very young, I went roller skating with friends.  We were doing that line thing so I had someone in front of me and behind me.  the person behind me started to fall and pushed me down too and as I went down, the person in front of me kicked up with their roller skate and made contact with me being shoved down pretty hard really hard with my groin area.  (you know how skates have that hard break thing on the tip?).  Ouch.  I had bleeding. Not a lot of blood, more like spotting.  My mom actually looked and I had bruises and a cut.  It was embarrassing.  When a hymen is broken, it usually doesn't hurt after and there can be more of a bleeding scenario than spotting.  That is my experience anyway.

You may have cut yourself.  So, please talk to your mom hon.  good luck

You could have broken your hymen, and caused other damage as well.  Please see your ob/gyn as soon as you can.

I'm not sure where you live, but I know in California, you can go to the doctors on your own if you're over 12.  If that's not the case where you're at, can you make up an excuse to see the doctor?  Most doctors have a time when they talk to the patient without the parent around where you could mention this.

It's a common misconception across the world that a woman's hymen can only break during sex. This is highly inaccurate and had been proven medically time and time again. Please do not be afraid to confront your mother about this situation especially if you have pain! If your mother doesn't believe you about the accident, then the doctor should be able to set her straight.

I'm not sure how without my mom knowing. Let's just say she can be a little insane so she will think I had sex. That and probably won't let me ride again.

You may have, actually! Breaking your hymen doesn't just happen during sex for the first time. It can break due to vigorous activity of any nature too! If you feel any pain, I would recommend seeing your gynecologist as soon as possible to take a look just in case for any damage.
