Brown Discharge 1 Week After Period

Ok so it's been a week since my period ended. 4 days after my period ended, I saw that my discharge was brown and something looking like a blood clot was inside it so I assumed it was just old blood but the exact same thing happened yesterday which is a week after my period. I'm 21 and not sexually active and don't use any control pills. I'm really worried.

it's normal. that's your body just continuing the clean out the vagina of left over blood with discharge. that's the time before the discharge becomes clear, white again.

"That sounds horrible" "Eurgh, stay away" "Don't bring your human black pudding near me" That is three things that you could hear from this condition, but don't worry it is completely natural. Basically you have what is called an 'unsure womb' You have your period, but your womb chooses to keep a few bits and bobs behind. Sex shortly after the menstrual cycle can often dislodge these hangers on, but if you are not sexually active I advise getting in there with a sterilised toothbrush to knock the bastards out. Which ever route you choose, or if you choose to leave the brown bits there, there are no health risks... Your body will kick 'em out when they need to leave.

hi there,
i am 37 and i get the same thing.i think i have finished my period, then it comes back again, just like you explained, brownish discharge like old blood, with like fiberous things in.i used to think it was tampon bits what get caught inside sometimes, comin out.this has only happened for the last 3 years, sometimes after my period and have sex, it can start again too.
if your worried get checked out with your gp, i am sure you are ok tho, and try not too worry,
