Brown Discharge before period

I am 22 and I have been on the pill for about 2 1/2 years now... my period is very regular and I have pretty much never had spotting. For the first time today I have a rather thick brown discharge that I've never seen. I'm expecting my period in 3 days or so and it is just worrying me, I dont know if i can wait 3 more days to make sure i'm not pregnant. I have occasionally gotten brown discharge after my period but never before... I read that this is normal "old" blood for some people but it is just strage that it's never happened to me in the last 10 years! Please hellppppp... thanks!

thanks sooo much for your input, maybe I've just been putting stress on myself lately and that could cause it... but thinking you might be pregnant is a scary situation!!! I guess i'll find out soooonnn

same thing happened to me before my period..which was VERY light for whatever reason.
I became nervous but wentto my doctor and thankfully am not pregnant. I wouldn't worry about it it seems to be a pretty normal thing for most women.
If your period just doesn't show id take a test or go see your doctor

This happens to me sometimes. It's usually nothing to worry about - it might just be your body getting ready for the period. If you're still a little worried, wait until your period, see if it's normal. If it is, no worries then.
