Brown discharge

I'm writing this because I am thinking about changing my birth control... AGAIN. I have the Skyla IUD and the reason I got it was so i didn't have to worry about taking a pill everyday or getting a shot every three months or even having to deal with a period. I recently tried to have sex but it all went downhill. He tried to putting it in but I stopped him before he could even put the whole tip in.. When I got up to go to the bathroom there was a brown discharge and ever since that night I've had it. It's been almost a month and I'm still having this brown smelly discharge I don't know if its because its dried up blood but do not like this as a side effect of whatever. I was wondering what other birth control methods are there besides depo, the pill, the patch and the vaginal ring.....

I would definitely call your doctor, and you might want to think about douching. Not to sound rude or anything  i am 36 years old have had 3 children. The only time i have had any brown discharge is when my period is ending..it is probably  from your birth control and your period cycle may be changing..good luck
