Brown spotting, late period, pregnant?

Me and my boyfriend are sexually active, however, we have used condoms every time. my periods have always been a little off, sometimes two days late and spotting a day or something. I am currently 4 days late, however, have been spotting brown discharge with a small amount of blood in the 2-3 days. I'm very stressed.
About a month ago (right before/during my last period) I had a kidney infection and was put on several meds. Could that have somethign to do with it?
Thanks for ANY help.

hey,
i had the same thing for 3 days & then it stopd im 110% on time every month and have been for years adn then this?? I was talking to my partners mum who is a midwife and she said that it can be many things. But she said that even if u use condoms only needs one sperm to get there. That she sees it all the time. The best thing to do is get a HPT and do it in the morning and if its negitive then try it in a week or so. Im not 100% + that im not or am.. its not fun.. but dont stress it can make it worse.. im going to hang out till next month and see how i go. good luck ok..

It's not completely uncommon for me to spot for the first day (MAYBE two) of my period, and it is usually either a normal blood colour or brown and pinkish. Right now it's brown  and pinkish. But this is three days

Hi...it is possible that you are pregnant..but highly unlikely if you were using condoms.
I'm thinking it could be the meds or even stress.
I am going through a similar situation...brown spotting...fun...not.
I would love to know whats wrong with me...Someone mentioned hormones being outta whack..not sure what can cause that...but I will be going to the dr. soon if this doesnt end.
I suggest that you see your gyn or even your gp.
I guess you could always take an hpt...anything is possible.
Good luck...sorry I know .....not much help.
