I had a scan saying i was 6 weeks pregnant (give or take 5 days)  and the sac measured 11.5mm. I had sex 3weeks and 5 days prior to the scan but also 6 and 8 weeks prior to the scan.... When would the likely conceived date be..? The 3 weeks and 5 days , 6 or 8 week???? This determines the father so I reallllllly need to know.....
Can a sac show 11.5mm after 3.5 weeks?

It depends, did she have an early ultrasound? Early ultrasounds are VERY reliable and are usually only off by a day or two. Once a women gets further along the ultrasound can be a little off.
One thing you need to understand is that doctors count pregnancy from the first day of a womens last period so they are actually considered pregnant for two weeks before conception actually occurs. So, this means that if she is 28 weeks the baby is actually only 26 weeks. It is possible that the u/s is off if she did not have an early one but if they are just going off of a later u/s it could be a little off.
I would suggest that you request a paternity test just to be sure.

If you got pregnant 4 weeks ago, medical professionals will consider you 6 weeks pregnant. A pregnancy is 10 menstrual cycles, or 40 weeks. It simplifies things (believe it or not) for the doctors and nurses who will be treating you. If everyone had to decide exactly when conception occured, it would consume a lot of extra time and energy.

When I got pg with my son, I had a "period" or implant bleeding.  When you fill out the form to take the pg test they ask when the 1st day of your lmc was and was it normal.  I had my last normal mc on 1/12 (this was back in 1993), but then EXACTLY 2/12 I started spotting, then 3 days later it was gone.  I used 2/12 as my lmc, but told them it wasn't my normal bleeding.  Anyway, they told me my due date was 11/22/93, but I was actually way more pg than that.  My real due date should have been 10/26/93.  When they did my US at about 24 weeks, it said my due date was 11/20/93.  My last month of pg was horrible, I was so huge and way overdue.  Of course the DR. didn't think so, but I knew it.  I went into labor on 10/30/93, but my son turned breech, so my contractions stopped and they sent me home.  I finially had a planned C section on 11/11/93, which they thought was early, and I knew I was way overdue. So I think US can give you a ball park estimate, but the US also takes into account your lmc that you told them.  I say, you know your body better than the DR.'s.

Just for kicks, I've heard, if you get pregnant before you ovulate it's a girl! :-) Congrats on your pregnancy, I hope everything goes well.
Just like what the girls above said, they go by your LMP. They pretty much consider you two weeks pregnant by time you get pregnant, because when you start your period, your cycle starts, and your body starts preparing itself to be fertilized. If it's not fertilized by THIS DATE___ then your eggs start dieing, and then you start your period. :-)
So if your guy is going all nuts on you because your more pregnant then then you're supposed to, tell him to read a little on the female reproductive system :-)
The ultrasound tech should have told you exactly how old your baby is. They do that by the size of your ovaries.. When my ovaries were 5.8cm, I was 8 weeks 6 days pregnant or something like that. I can't remimber exactly. If he didnt tell you, then get a copy of the results from your doctor. (they foward the resluts to him)
From now on, you should really do some reading on pregnancy. There is SO MUCH to learn about your body, and why it does this, or what causes that, or what this feeling is, etc. "What to expect when you're expecting" is a REALLY neat book. It's like the pregnancy bible. :-)
Good luck! And congrats!

they add two weeks onto the date the date goes from the first day of your last menstral period not when you ovulated or conceived hope that helps.

I'm sorry, but confused about the previous posts. At this early stage the US could be incorrect. Have you had blood hormone levels of hcg checked?
