i agree....it sounds like you have high prolactin levels. high prolactin stops ovulation and menstration. a friend of mine after nursing never had her levels drop back down....almost like her body just wanted to keep nursimg regaurdless. she had no tumor or any othe health issues...just a stubborn body that wanted to make milk :) so the doc gave her some meds and the very next month she ovulated and got PG!!! good luck and keep us posted!!!

love, hugs, and baby dust....kimmie

Are you nursing????  As long as you nurse you could delay your period.  I am nursing my son who just turned 1 a few weeks ago and I did not get regular periods until he was 10 months old.  If you are not nursing then I really can't help out sorry.  I have heard it is possible for menopause to start REALLY early but it is VERY VERY rare.  Just take your meds from the dr and see what happens.  Good luck I hope it all works out for you.

Sounds like your prolactin levels are elevated.  A simple blood test can show that.  My cousin had the same thing... What she ended up having was a BENIGN growth on her pituitary gland.  her period stopped, gained a lot of weight and was basicaly going into early menopause.  The dr. put her on meds and it helped but they ended up having to perform a simple surgery to remove the growth and VIOALA she is fine.  I hope this helps please keep us posted

Sorry it took me a while to respond.  Hmm let me think i think they did an MRI/ cat scan of her pituitary and found the tumor.  THey are almost ALWAYS benign.  She gained a lot of weight.. got a lot of headaches.  I think it sounds like what you have but I am not a dr.  Please keep me posted.

Lisa

Ps:  When you look online you will see that lactating is one of the symptoms of an elevatedprolactin level.  this needs to be addresses asap.. as in RARE occassions even after all of the surgeries it is irreversable.  My cousin was almost at that point.  But she had gone 4 YEARS without a period! Dr. said she was very lucky that she did not go into menepause.

any more ?? please do not hesitate to ask

Go back to your doctor.  You need furthur evaluation and work up to find out what is going on.  There are some conditions that can cause the breasts to leak milk that might interfere with your health, and certainly with your ability to conceive.

If you aren't satisfied with your current OB-GYN, see another one who will take you seriously.
