Chlamydia or strep throat

On Wednesday I got diagnosed with chlamydia and got the one day treatment of antibiotics for it yesterday but I've noticed I've had a sore throat with a bad cough for a few days and barely decided to look at my throat last night and noticed one pus pouch on one of my tonsils. Can the chlamydia cause the pus pouch and sore throat or is it just strep through
