Constant Period?

Ever since I became sexually active, about 4 years ago, I have had to wear a pad or tampon every day because I am constantly bleeding, it literally has not stopped over the past few years, but I'm afraid to go to the doctor.  I will get a very very very heavy period that lasts about 3 or 4 days, and then light bleeding in between periods. Why is this happening?

You need to see a doctor.  Unfortunately, there is no other advice to give you.  Exactly what are your fears about going to the doctor?
