Could I be PREGNANT?

The last time I remember having my period was in October 2006. Which day exactly, I cannot recall. I remember my boyfriend buying me Midol near the ending of my period and we think this was around October 24-25th.

We found a receipt where I had purchased tampons and that was on November 1st. I remember purchasing the tampons not because I was on my period, but because I happened to be at the store and of course I expected another period in November. However, the box of tampons has not been used. I do not remember having a period in November.

My boyfriend and I use condoms when we have intercourse. I remember one time in November where we used the pull-out method but he did not fully ejaculate. Still, there is a chance of pre-ejaculation happening during intercourse.

I have taken two home pregnancy tests. One on Dec 1st and one this morning, Dec 5th. Both came from the same package. Both turned out negative. Could I still be pregnant although the tests both said negative?

I have been experiencing the following:
- Extreme Fatigue (where I want to stay in bed ALL day)
- Milky vaginal discharge (no burning, no itching, no scent)
- Awful back pain
- Extreme emotions (whether sad, angry or happy)
- Increase in appetite and craving fast food/fried foods
- Strange dreams and nightmares
- My female cat constantly sits with me and rubs her face/head on me lovingly. I read on a website that pets can usually detect pregnancy.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my message and I look forward to reading your responses.

Once again, the hpt said 'negative'. Some woman have been telling me that the pregnancy hormone may be too low to detect but I don't know.. I'm waiting for my period to show up now. I've taken 3 tests in one week and all of them said negative. It's been a very sad day.

**Update**

Still no period. It's been a week since I've taken a hpt. I'm going to take another today. To add to the list of symptoms I've been experiencing are sore breasts (especially the nipples) and frequent urinating.

Hopefully I'll have a positive reading this time around. Please wish me luck :)

If a hpt didn't show for you before I would go ahead and make an appt. and get a blood test to know for sure.  It will ease your mind.

Here is my situation. MLP was 10/30.  I normally have a 26-28 day cycle.  I had unprotected sex on 11/8/,11/9 11/17, 11/19 using withdrawal method.  My period was due on 11/27.  I experieced AF cramps from 11/27-11/29 with no spotting.  I have been experiecing creamy cv discharge for about a week and sore breast off and on.  I have taken 3 pg test all bfn, last one taken this morning and I am approx. 9 days late for af.  I was pregnant in 2004 and did not have a positive pg test until 21 dpo, but it ended in a miscarriage.  Is it possible that I could be pregnant and have a viable pregnancy and I'm not sure when I ovulated, but last pregnancy I ovulated 16 days after my period.  I don't think I ovulate on the same day every month.  My periods are very regular.  I have never missed a period.  I did loose a few punds but have lost weight before and it never affected my cycles.  What do you all think.  Has anyone else had a pregnancy show positive after so many negative results?

you will read stories with answers to every question. yes there have been women that didnt find out till later on. my friend had that happen too. there are stories that women have convinced themselves it might be a pg and they are late with every symptom in the book. none of us unfortunatly can give you a clear answer. my suggestion is call your dr and see what they suggest. maybe untill you get in you will start. the withdrawl method isnt a method for all!

Could be, some people don't show a positive till later, or if you have a lower level of hormones could take awhile.  You did bd on some very fertile days, and the withdrawal method is not a very good one.  I would call your Dr. if af is still missing in the next week, could also be stress, change in diet, anything that could cause you to be late.  Good luck.

As for all of the cat stories, so glad to hear mine isn't the only character here!  We call him Bad A** Beau.  The vet even talked to us about putting him on antidepressants to help calm him down when we have visitors.  I couldn't do it though, not yet, so if you read something in the paper about a couple being sued because of their attack cat, that would be me.  So cute to hear about the others, cats are so great!

I'm not stressing at all if I'm pregnant or not. If I am, my boyfriend and I will be very happy. If not, that's alright too, as we didn't plan a pregnancy and there is always time to do so in the future. :) Isn't that crazy that THINKING that you are pregnant can actually trick your body into thinking that you ARE? Wow, I guess "Mind Over Matter" is a pretty strong saying. Thank you for the comment!

I have a naughty cat too, we called him Bear, funnily enough, because he always sits on up on his back legs.  He loves to grab my ankles when i get up for the toilet in the middle of the night, which scares the life out of me.  He also likes to sleep on top of our fish tank and hold the fish hostage.

He can be a little stupid at times too, like this morning, we usually leave the window open for him get in and out of the house but this morning i shut it because it was so cold.  Bear didnt realise and just jumped straight at the window, i think he gave himself some brain damage lol.

As for rubbing up against me while i'm pregnant, im four months, my cat has absolutely no idea whats going on, his not too perceptive :)

Does anyone else have crazy/dippy cats?

I have 6 cats. They are ALL Spoiled. Three of them are still kittens. One of them loves to lick & bite my toes. We just put our tree up and I can already tell that its going to be a fun Christmas. We may be having Pot Luck Kitty for supper if they don't stay out of my tree. HEE! HEE! Just joking! They really are funny though. :)

In my personal experience that cat stuff is not a joke.  My aunt has a cat and for over a year it hasn't come within 5 feet of me. I am 8 weeks pregnant and on Sunday it wouldn't leave me alone.

Oh its not so bad. They come and go as they please. They stay outside most the day and then we bring them in at night to feed them. They run around us waiting for us to pet them then they run around the house chasing eachother. Then they go to there bedroom. Yes, I ashamed to say that they have there own room. :)

That is so sweet that they have their own room!! I love kittens sooo much, i nearly bought another one a few months ago but my husband managed to talk me out of it :)

Sounds like yours are good at coming in at night.  Mine thinks its funny to sit on the grass and just stare at me when i call his name and then run off :)

Pot luck kitty LOL!!!

My cat is so naughty with our Christmas trees, i know he's in there because the tree shakes.  I remember with sheer horror, "The night of the Christmas tree massacre" as we now call it lol.  My tree was practically stripped to its bare branches, decorations were strewn from the lounge to the hallway and the cat sat there looking very please with himself :) Now we have to get our tree as near to christmas as we can otherwise it looks like we used last years tree by the time its Christmas day!

Six cats!! You are one brave lady :)

severly stressing about something as extreme as being pregnant can also sometimes cause you to actually experience the symptoms physically, because it transfers from your mentality (i hope that makes sense).  Basically, your brain tricks your body.  Don't get worried just yet, and definitely go to the doctor.  Good Luck! :D

Haha, your cat sounds really cute! I love cats, even those that seem "naughty".
You're right, I really doubt I'll be able to see a doctor without booking ahead of time. I do NOT want to go to a walk-in clinic, especially when it will be crowded with sick patients. Not to mention the long wait! I guess I will wait til the end of the week to see if my period shows up then make an appointment with my family dr. What sucks is that he is usually booked a week to two weeks ahead.

Just had to say I have a cat that is so naughty, he beats people up.  Seriously he rears up like a bear and beats on you, even chases people, which is kinda funny.  Anyway, he's great with our little family in the house, hates my parents, and everyone else.  Not much for affection, but he has been my buddy this whole time.  Not sure if it's the pregnancy or the extra treats I keep giving him because I keep forgetting when I gave him some, or feel bad that he has to get used to a new baby soon.  Anyway, not sure if you can get into a Dr. on the weekend unless it's an urgent care or something, but I would call if you are concerned and make an appt., usually you will get a positive by the time af is due, could be your body out of whack or you aren't registering on the hpt as some have that issue too.  Good luck.

Thank you Brentlie & Sparkeler for your comments!

Those are all symptoms of pregnancy.  Do you usually have a regular period?  It could just be late or you could have ovulated late and the test is not showing yet.  Use first morning urine to test.  wait a day or two and try again if it is still neg. see your doc, because not having your period is convienient but it could cause problems.

Yes, I think I will see a doctor this weekend if possible. I just wanted to know if it were a possibility of being pregnant even though the tests said negative.

Hahaha, yeah the 'loving cat' is very funny. I just happened to be reading it when I found this forum. Here's what it had to say about it:

"Cats have a bit of a bad rap. Not only can they carry toxoplasmosis, an infection that can be dangerous for pregnant women, they are also known for being standoffish, independent and often unaffectionate. Yet, as any cat owner can tell you, cats can be extremely loving and loyal to their owners. During pregnancy, this affection may become even more apparent.

Many cat owners have noted their cats behaving undeniably friendly once those early signs of pregnancy start to appear. Following you around, sleeping with you or even on you, insisting on sitting on your lap and even cuddling and licking your belly (maybe baby needs some grooming?) are all normal for behavior for cats when you

Why not see a doctor???  I don't know about the loving cat..that seems a little extreme.  If they don't rub up against you does that meant that your not pregnant?
