Cyst

ni
I posted a few days ago about having pain during intercourse.  I was diagnose having a fibroid tumore during my pregnancy.  I went today to have an US done and they saw the fibroid (which is very small) and a cyst.  Of course, the technician could not say much.  They did call the dr with the result but I have not heard from her.

I need to clear my head-I get very nervous about these things.  Should I worry about the cyst?  Are they common?  Need ADVICE Please.  I am 27 years old.  Thanks

Gina

I got my results back and she told me that I have many complex custs in one of my ovaries.  She said that they will do a repeat US in 6 weeks.  She said not to worry that it is because I did not ovulate right.  Should I be worried?  She is putting me back on BC pill to help it.  Thanks

I called her back because I am very nervous and I specifically asked her about complex vs functional- she said that it was complex because there were many cysts in one.  she said if there was anything to worry about that she would do surgery asap.

No problem at all. You are welcome any time.
Just relax & have faith in the ultimate savior.

PS: After my mom's surgery I shall post an article in general, why certain diseases are spreading so rapidly e.g. MS, Parkinson

Nina,
Read the reminder from Cindy very carefully.  There are no physicians on this site, and you should not make a decision for surgery based on any advice other than that of your physician.  Together, you and your physician can make the decision based on your personal history/appearance of the cyst/risk factors, and family history.

If you are uncomfortable with your doctors advice, there is no harm in getting a second opinion from another physician.

I saw you posted on the Ovarian Cancer forum.  Good idea!  I'm sure you will get some input there, too.  But that is also an unmoderated forum, so again--there are good ideas out there, but use caution.

Personally, in my opinion go for a Complete Cystectomy, as I had written earlier, & do get them biopsied. I am never in favor of BCP treat for ovarian cysts.
Take care & all the best.

PS: I shall be away for some time, for my mom

Fibroids and ovarian cysts are not uncommon.  Most times the appearance on US will guide what treatments and follow up is suggested.

The good news about fibroids is that they tend to shrink as you get older.  Pregnancy may cause them to grow temporarily.

Depending on their size and location, fibroids and ovarian cysts may cause uncomfortable symptoms such as pain during intercourse and cramps.

Good luck at the doctor, and let us know what you find out.

Personally would recommend you to get the Fibroid & the Cyst removed. (What ever it's size)
Uterine cysts in most cases are benign, but still do get it biopsied for your own peace of mind.

Good Luck.
